Location
Greenville is located on Interstate 65 and offers ready access to major cities; only 40 miles south of Montgomery and roughly halfway between Mobile and Birmingham, and between Atlanta and New Orleans. The total land area of Butler County is 777 square miles or 1,250.46 square kilometers.
Located just half an hour south of Montgomery, where I-65, U.S. 31 and Alabama’s Highway 10 converge, Greenville is the county seat of picturesque Butler County. Montgomery Regional Airport is just minutes away, and CSX rail serves the city.
