HUMAN RESOURCES
About the Department
The City of Greenville seeks to employ highly skilled and knowledgeable individuals and has adopted a comprehensive compensation and benefits program that attracts many highly qualified prospective employees. The Human Resource Director accepts applications only for currently posted positions. See Employment Opportunities
The Human Resources department does not contact every job applicant to report the status of the hiring process. Only applicants to be interviewed and applicants who have been interviewed and who have received an offer for employment are contacted. All applicants receiving a job offer are required to submit a complete background check and reference check. In addition, applicants must submit and pass an illegal drug and alcohol test.
Office Responsibilities
Applications, post-job offer requirements, compensation, and benefits are administered through the Human Resources Department. All new hires are required to attend a new employee orientation session in the Human Resource Office prior to the start of their employment. The staff of the Department of Human Resources is available to assist you with all phases of the employment process.
Please contact us at (334) 382-2647 x249 if you would like additional information. Applicants with special needs may request additional assistance or other reasonable accommodations.
The City of Greenville is an Equal Opportunity Employer seeking to employ the best-qualified applicants to fill vacant positions in a variety of occupational areas. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunity for employment to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other protected status.
